Coneflower, Clasping

    Clasping Coneflower is native to the south-central U.S. and has red and yellow petals and a dark, cone-shaped center. Its name is derived from the fact that the leaves clasp onto the stems. Plants reseed readily and are good for reclamation mixes, meadow plantings and pollinator mixes. Deadhead spent flowers for extended bloom. Recipient of the Royal Horticultural Society’s Award of Garden Merit for reliable performance in the garden.
